The Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS) in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Australia India Institute (AII) at the University of Melbourne, released a series of six academic volumes titled "International Relations and Foreign Policy" at the Jaipur Literary Festival 19 January 2014. The books were released by Hon. Salman Khurshid, the Indian Foreign Minister.

A distinguished group of scholars from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond contributed their research to these six volumes, which were edited by an eminent panel of academics based at RCSS and AII. Each volume explores a different theme related to the overarching theme of ’International Relations and Foreign Policy‘.
The books are the result of a two-year collaboration between RCSS and AII on producing a set of academic texts that address the possible impact of the ’Asian Century‘, specifically the rise of China and India, on international relations and foreign policy in the Asia-Pacific region.
