Participatory Governance in the Commonwealth : The Role of Civil Society

RCSS in collaboration with GPPAC hosted a RCSS Discussion Forum on “Participatory Governance in the Commonwealth: The Role of Civil Society” on 22 October 2013 at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo. 

The seminar was attended by heads of NGOs, former diplomats, lawyers, youth volunteers and representatives from various civil society organizations in Sri Lanka. Mr. Vijay Krishnarayan, Director of the Commonwealth Foundation addressed the gathering on the importance of civil society participation in Commonwealth processes, the present scope and future potential. Following this address, an open discussion was facilitated by RCSS Executive Director, Dr. Mallika Joseph.
