The fifth Annual General Meeting of the Association for Security Sector Reform Education and Training (ASSET) took place from 29-31 May 2013 in Accra, Ghana. The meeting was co-hosted by the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) and the Africa Security Sector Network (ASSN). The main theme for this year’s AGM was “Supporting the implementation of SSR strategies within regional and sub-regional organisations”. The AGM brought together approximately 45 participants from member organisations across the world. The meeting concluded with RCSS becoming the new Secretariat for ASSET for the next two years.
