Winter Workshop - Non-Traditional Sources of Conflict: 1998

The Winter Workshop on Source of Conflict in South Asia: Ethnicity, Refugees and Environment was held from 12 – 23 March 1998 at the Coral Gardens Hotel, Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka. The keynote address at this event was delivered by Prof. Eqbal Ahmad. The winter course outline was as follows: • Ethnicity and Religion • Refugee and Other Forms of Movement of Population • Resources, Development and Environment The Winter Workshop was held with the support of the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung. 

The workshop attracted participants from several countries in South Asia.
